CALA is hosting two CPR/AED/First Aid training sessions. These courses will be led by Action First Aid on August 9, 2022 at the Chaffey’s Locks Community Centre, 1661 Chaffey’s Lock Road, in the village of Chaffey’s Lock. The Hall is air conditioned and internet is available.
Course #1 – CPR & AED Awareness Workshop
This course covers basic CPR techniques and instructions on how to use an AED machine. It includes hands-on practice (2 hours) and it also includes an additional one hour First Aid for Cottagers Discussion. This is not a certification course.
Participants are asked to arrive by 8:15 a.m. to register
8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Training Session
11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. First Aid Discussion (lunch is not included with this program)
Cost – $50 CALA members; $75 for non-members (includes 1 year CALA Family Membership)
Space is limited to 20 people.
Course #2 – CPR Level C & AED Certified Training (Includes access to a wall certificate)
If you have not taken CPR/AED training before, or not had this training for several years, this course is highly recommended. It includes extensive hands-on practice (4 – 5 hours) and an additional one hour First Aid for Cottagers Discussion.
Participants are asked to arrive shortly after 10:30 a.m. for registration. Please use the kitchen door entrance off the parking lot. Lunch will be provided.
11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. First Aid Discussion (joint session with Course 1 participants)
12:00 noon to 12:45 p.m. Lunch (Sandwiches, fruit, cheese & crackers, water) If you require a special lunch, please feel free to bring a lunch with you.
1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (including breaks) Training Session
Cost: $100 for CALA members: $125 for non-members (Includes lunch and a 1 year CALA Family Membership)
Space is limited to 18 people.
Note to everyone taking these courses: Please wear comfortable, stretchy clothing. Bring a yoga mat or heavy towel. We will be getting up and down off the floor. Chairs will be available for the first aid discussion.
