What are invasive species?
Invasive species are plants, animals, and micro-organisms that are found outside of their natural range, and whose presence poses a threat to environmental health, the economy, or society, including human health (Government of Canada, 2004).
Invasive species include terrestrial plants, aquatic plants, forest pests, invertebrates, and fish. Harmful foreign species have invaded Ontario. Learn how you can help stop the spread.
